world wide web module: interactive syllabus | assignment 1 |
Module Introduction The World Wide Web offers convenient access to a wealth of educational resources that will enrich the learning environment in your classroom. In the next activities you will examine some of these resources. After a brief introduction, you will explore these web resources. During your exploration you can add relevant websites to your bookmarks/favorites. You will record your observations in your course logbook. Then, you will reflect on how these web resources could be used in your classroom. You will continue your email "conversation" with me and will also utilize the course web discussion board to share your ideas with the other members of the TEC 908 online community. Before you begin working on this second module of the course, open and print a copy of the EdTechProfile Internet Skills Checklist. Assess your proficiencies using this checklist and file it with your course materials. You will be re-assessing your proficiencies at the conclusion of this module and will need to mail a copy of that final Checklist with your Logbook and Grade Forms upon completion of the course. Before you begin the online exploration, let's quickly review some browser basics. Record your preliminary Internet Skills Checklist proficiency level (Beginning, Intermediate or Proficient) in the course logbook and note your assignment completion date.
