Don't use Indicies

Some "authorities" will then tell you that an index should be created. This has the same problems as complex mathematical model building.

Most models capture the "rules" of the present operation of a system, but are not dynamic enough to capture and modify themselves to changing conditions.

Neural net modeling programs probably can do this now. If you don't know what that is, it's a good reason to stay away from it.

Also, anytime you aggregate data into fewer numbers, data is lost or masked. Stick to simple statistics.

Don't make the scores any more difficult than athletic statistics, and you will keep them more accessible to your personnel.
