Initializing the course digital logbook

I have included a digital version of the TEC 3012 course logbook that you will be maintaining throughout the course on the course floppy disk. The digital logbook is available in both Notepad and SimpleText format. You will use this digital logbook throughout the course to record your progress. You will use the digital logbook extensively in the Basic Searching and Advanced Searching modules of the course.

Mac Users: If you do not have a floppy disk, you can download a copy of the logbook by clicking here.

Insert the TEC 3012 course floppy disk into the disk drive now and open the logbk.txt file (PC users) or logbook file (Mac Users). Enter your name and initialization date. Select Save As from the file menu and save the logbook to the web folder you created on your hard disk.

You may now open the digital logbook from the hard disk whenever you need to make an entry. Important Note: Remember to Save this file after each use!

When you finish the course, your digital logbook will be returned to the instructor for evaluation. The logbook file can be printed, saved back to the floppy disk or sent as an e-mail attachment.
