Changing the web browser homepage

You may find it helpful to change your web browser's default homepage to the TEC 912 course website for the duration of the course. This will save you the trouble of having to type in the URL each time you want to access the course website.

The procedure for changing the web browser's homepage varies from one browser to the next. Consult your web browser's help files for specific instructions on how to change your homepage.

  1. Click on the Help menu.
  2. Look for Contents or Index.
  3. Scan the list looking for Home or Homepage.
  4. You may find it helpful to print a copy of the instructions for future reference.
  5. Record your current homepage in the event that you want to change things back after you complete the course.
  6. Remove the homepage location currently in the text box, position the cursor in the box and type

    http://www.josts.net/tec912

  7. Click on OK.
  8. Click on the Home button in the web browser toolbar.
  9. The course homepage should appear on the screen.
  10. Follow several of the hypertext links that take you away from the course homepage and then click on the Home button again. You should return to the course homepage.
